Biography
- From Australia, Justin spent 10 years in Southeast Asia, predominantly in emerging markets, before moving to Dubai 4 years ago. Prior to Zand, Justin has worked previously in two major digital banking / mobile money builds – part of the foundational team that built Wing (Cambodia) and more recently was the CTO of Wave Money (Myanmar) – both grew to become the largest payments providers in their respective countries.
- He held senior retail banking positions at ANZ Bank rolling out new capabilities in operations, international remittance, contact centres, branches, digital, mortgages, channels, and deposits in Cambodia and Vietnam.
- Justin is also a cards, blockchain and mobile payments expert – at ANZ Bank ran acquiring (ATM and POS) and mobile money for 18 Asia-Pacific countries. His first role in the UAE was Chief Risk Officer for Securrency – a startup based in ADGM using blockchain technology to trade a diverse range of assets through Securities Token Offerings and trading.
- Justin also worked at Visa Singapore in the Mobile team.
