Ms. Sahana Hussain

Biography

Sahana Hussain is the Global Head of Open Banking, Tech. in HSBC and driving the Open Banking agenda across the group. She is also responsible for creating HSBC – Open API strategy for both commercial and regulatory needs from technology perspectives. She was one of the key contributors to the UK’s CMA9 Open Banking Implementation Entity (OBIE) forum to define industry standards for API, Security, data and related paradigm required to deliver CMA’s one of the foundation measures – ‘Open Banking Standard’. With 20 years of experience in IT, Sahana has previously worked in Visa Europe’s Digital Business Unit and had engagements with HMRC and Government programmes.
